Missions 365

It's in our name!

Mission Hill missions

Jesus calls us to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19) and to be His witnesses “in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). This means the expansion of God’s Kingdom through discipleship begins in our neighborhoods and extends around the world. Missions is not limited to an event or a trip, but is a lifestyle—living each day with the Great Commission as a priority. We call this Missions 365: sharing Christ and making disciples where we live, work, and play every day. Are you ready to be on mission?

Local Mission Partners

Local Missions are where we shine the light and love of Jesus within our own community—meeting needs, healing hurts, and speaking God's Word to those
in our little corner of the world. Here are a few ways you can connect with local missions!

Every Thursday at 6 PM at our Mission Hill Ministry Center, we serve about 100 guests a hot meal and share a short message from God's Word. After dinner, guests can take advantage of our food panty, clothing store, and even a hair cut. This is just one of the ways that the Ministry Center serves our community.

The Serve Team at the Ministry Center helps sort pantry items, plate and serves dinner, distributes food panty items, provides assistance in the clothing store, and prepares and distributes bagged meals during the street ministry.

Tuesdays and Thursdays during the school year, we offer "Lunch & Learn" conversational English lessons at Central Campus. ESOL students are invited to enjoy a hot meal followed by English lessons taught through the lens of the Bible. This is an opportunity to meet needs and share the gospel with students who may otherwise never hear of God's saving love.

It is helpful to have English speaking volunteers come alongside the students, engage with them and help them practice English while simultaneously showing the love of Jesus through kindness and even friendship!

On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-2 PM at Central Campus, we serve a hot meal to guests from the community who are food and housing insecure. This includes many who are homeless and have unstable incomes, such as refugees and others new to the country, many of whom participate in our English classes.

Volunteers help set up the food and drinks, serve food, clean up, and most importantly, share the love and compassion of Jesus with our guests.

Every week during the school year, we deliver 50 food backpacks for Greco Middle School students, who live with food insecurity and rely on the free school breakfast and lunch, and who otherwise may not have a reliable source of meals throughout the weekend.

Our monthly volunteers help fill about 300 packs with the food items and weekly deliver the packs to the middle school.

At Mission Hill we have a Disaster Relief Team that works under the umbrella of the Florida Baptist Convention and NAMB “Send Relief” ministries. The mission of Florida Baptist Disaster Relief and Recovery Ministries is to make a difference in times of disaster by connecting Florida Baptist Churches and Associations to people and communities impacted by disaster and by responding with Help, Healing, and Hope, which demonstrates and shares the love of Christ.

Our team members are trained and licensed to attend those affected locations (mainly by hurricanes), providing assistance with cleanup, repairs, and food.

In the past we have provided assistance from the Panhandle to South Florida! But we also want to serve our own church family and our neighborhoods, much like we did following Hurricane Milton in 2024.
