40 Days of Prayer & Fasting

February 24 - Easter Sunday

DAY ONE {2.24}: Let's start by lifting the name of our Lord in praise as we begin this 40-
day prayer and fasting journey and throughout. Psalm 34:1

DAY TWO {2.25}: Let your heart and your soul bless the Lord. Let everything that is
within you bless His Holy name. Psalm 103:1

DAY THREE {2.26}: Focus today on how great and powerful the Lord is. Spend time and
worship Him today. Psalm 150:2

DAY FOUR {2.27}: Let’s express our gratitude to the Lord and honor Him. Remember
how He has been good to us. Thank Him for His unfailing love for us. Psalm 136:1

DAY FIVE {2.28}: We are called to seek our Lord’s kingdom and His righteousness.
Therefore, we are going after that today. Ask the Lord to give you understanding
of how to operate as part of His kingdom and how to walk in His righteousness.
Matthew 6:33

DAY SIX {3.1}: Let’s turn to the King to lead our hearts and desires towards Him alone,
as our lives and well-being depend on Him. Psalm 32:8

DAY SEVEN {3.2}: We want to check our hearts before the Lord today. We are called to
forgive and be at peace with everyone. Therefore, ask the Lord for grace to let go
and seek reconciliation with everyone. We have been forgiven much, and let’s
extend a forgiving hand to others as well. Matthew 6:12

DAY EIGHT {3.3}: Pray that we may know the Lord in a very intimate way so that we
can experience the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering.
Remember, we died with Him and are now alive in Him. Philippians 3:10-11

DAY NINE {3.4}: Our Lord Jesus Christ is a righteous King. We are called to seek first His
kingdom and His righteousness. Therefore, pray for the grace to walk in His
righteousness as we subject ourselves to His kingdom’s authority and rules.
Mathew 6:33

DAY TEN {3.5}: His kingdom is about righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. As
we spend time in prayer today, may we be overwhelmed by His righteousness,
peace, and joy under the power of His Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17

DAY ELEVEN {3.6}: Let’s surrender our desires and plans to the Lord today. Ask the Lord
to have His will dominate everything that concerns our lives. 1 John 2:17

DAY TWELVE {3.7}: One of the names of our Gd is Jehovah Jirah, the God who provides.
What a privilege to bring before Him our needs. Pray for provision and cast all
your burdens upon Him as He sees and cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7

DAY THIRTEEN {3.8}: Let’s join hands and pray over some specific needs in our church
families. Pray for healing, financial provision, jobs, and couples/families’
reconciliation and peace. Many are facing challenges daily. Psalm 34:19

DAY FOURTEEN {3.9}: Today, we want to lift our church needs in prayer. Ask the Lord
to provide for every financial need of Mission Hill Church ministries. Pray for more
laborers in the ministries of our church and for the rest of the world. Seek His face
for revival. Philippians 4:19

DAY FIFTEEN {3.10}:
Pray for the strength to overcome temptations today. Ask for grace
to live in victory over ungodliness and worldly passions. Titus 2:11-12

DAY SIXTEEN {3.11}:
Pray for the community that God called us to serve. Pray for the
entire Tampa Bay area. There are thousands of people living without Jesus around
our places of worship. Ask the Lord to open their hearts for salvation and send
believers to share the gospel with them. Pray for the Muslim community to find
the peace of God through Jesus during this Ramadan season. Romans 10:14-21

DAY SEVENTEEN {3.12}: Today, we are going to stand in prayer against every plan of the
enemy over our lives. We have victory in Jesus already. We know that our Lord is
for us; therefore, no one can stand against us and win. Isaiah 54:17

DAY EIGHTEEN {3.13}: Pray against the lies of the enemy and confess the true word of
God over ourselves and our families. Let’s pray for His divine protection over our
families and ask the Lord to be their shield. Psalm 94:1

DAY NINETEEN {3.14}: What area of your life are you struggling with? Are you feeling
defeated? Time to sincerely pray and hold onto the victory He has given us
through His death and His resurrection. Pray today in the power of the Holy Spirit
and in faith and reclaim your victory. 2 Corinthians 10:4

DAY TWENTY {3.15}: Get the Lord involved in every area of your life and trust Him.
Remember, we cannot do anything without Him. Therefore, declare His lordship
over your life and everything that concerns your life and your family. Proverbs
3:5-6

DAY TWENTY-ONE {3.16}: Our mind is a battleground, do not let your thoughts get hold
of you, but get hold of your thoughts. We want to bring every thought captive to
the obedience of Christ. Hand-pick your thought today, prayer, and let God go
beyond your imagination according to His will. Ephesians 3:20

DAY TWENTY-TWO {3.17}:
Today, we are going to cry out for deliverance. Life can be
overwhelming due to various challenges. However, we can lean on the Lord in
prayer. Ask the Lord to deliver you from struggles that you can’t do anything
against. Psalm 34:19

DAY TWENTY-THREE {3.18}: We all need the strength of His power to operate in victory.
Therefore, ask the Lord today to strengthen you with power through His Spirit.
May the Lord sustain us all because He is all-powerful. Ephesians 3:16

DAY TWENTY-FOUR {3.19}: Believing that all glory belongs to Him, let's pray that our
lives will bring glory to the Lord every day and in everything we do. So whether
you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians
10:31

DAY TWENTY-FIVE {3.20}: Real peace comes from the Lord. Pray for God’s peace over
your family. Lock-in your mind in Him alone and receive through faith the gift of
His peace. Pray that others experience His peace as well. Let’s trust Him for divine
peace. Isaiah 26:3

DAY TWENTY-SIX {3.21}: May we desire in this day everything about our Lord. Ask for
the fullness of our Lord in your life so that you can reflect His love and His
character. Pray for grace to deeply understand His love for us. Ephesians 3:19

DAY TWENTY-SEVEN {3.22}: We can’t serve well without the Lord’s help. Therefore, ask
Him to train and equip us, and give us grace to abound in every good work. 2
Corinthians 9:8

DAY TWENTY-EIGHT {3.23}: As we pray through His word today, know that we are
praying according to His will. Therefore, ask God to fill you with the knowledge of
his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you
may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: Colossians 1:9-10

DAY TWENTY-NINE {3.24}: Our Lord called us to unity. Therefore, pray and ask the Lord
to keep us unified in the bond of His love, so that people may know that we are
His children. John 17:21

DAY THIRTY {3.25}:
Let's pray today for all our children. Ask the Lord to save and protect
them. Pray that they will grow under the grace of the Lord and the knowledge of
Jesus. May they be passionate about the Lord and his work. May the Lord capture
their young hearts into a relationship with the Savior Himself. Mathew 19:14

DAY THIRTY-ONE {3.26}: Let's pray today and ask the Lord to give us passion and zeal to
go after the lost with the gospel. Pray that people will respond to the gospel all
around the Tampa Bay area. Mark 16:15

DAY THIRTY-TWO {3.27}: Let's pray for those in leadership positions (church and
government leaders) for wisdom and grace to lead well. Pray specifically for
Pastor Paul and our church's entire leadership team for grace to lead well.
1Timothy 2:1-2

DAY THIRTY-THREE {3.28}:
Today, we want to pray for passion to read and believe the
word of God. Ask the Lord to help you trust Him and hold onto all His promises.
Pray for the strengthening of your faith and the faith of other believers. Hebrews
11:6

DAY THIRTY-FOUR {3.29}: It is the last week of this journey of 40 Days of Prayer and
Fasting. We want to reflect the work of His grace, love, and the gift of total
forgiveness on this holy week. Please take time today and thank the Lord for his
redemptive power, his unfailing love for us, and the grace that He lavished on us.
Ephesians 1:7

DAY THIRTY-FIVE {3.30}: Pray that the message of the gospel will reach a multitude this
week. May the power of God break every resistance in people’s hearts so they
can surrender their lives to Jesus. Romans 1:16

DAY THIRTY-SIX {3.31}: Pray for a revival season in your life and in our church
throughout this Easter season and beyond. Ask the Lord for a fresh desire and
passion to know Him better and tell others about Him. Philippians 3:10

DAY THIRTY-SEVEN {4.1}:
Today, we want to lift in prayer all our Easter activities. Pray
for all the invitations, calls, flyers, and ongoing preparations for our Easter
services. Pray that many will respond to the gospel. Revelation 3:20

DAY THIRTY-EIGHT {4.2}:
This season comes with challenges for many. Pray for healing,
restoration, and comfort for church families this season as they face different
needs. Do not forget to extend the hands of love and support to others as much
as you can. Psalm 34:18

THIRTY-NINE {4.3}: Today is Good Friday. Focus on the cross, humble yourself before
the Lord, and thank Him for salvation. Pray for the manifestation of the Holy
Spirit's power during our Good Friday services. Isaiah 53:5

DAY FORTY {4.4}: May our hearts be overwhelmed with gratitude and praise to the
Lord for taking our punishment. As you ponder the meaning of His death and
resurrection, pray for those you have invited to attend Easter service with you.
Ask the Lord to lead them to His saving grace. Ephesians 2:8-10

EASTER SUNDAY {4.5}:
It is Resurrection Day, and Jesus is alive. Praise the
Lord and Hallelujah! Let’s celebrate our Savior, the one who conquered death.
Pray that many will surrender to Him during our Easter services today. Pray for
the anointing and wisdom of God upon our pastor and other pastors as they share
the gospel during our services. 1 Peter 1:3
